Skincare Routine (Body)Last month, I went through the skincare routine for my face, and this month it’s time to talk about the body. I’ve always believed in taking equal care of your body as your face — luckily, I don’t have nearly as many steps. In the shower, I use Necessaire’s Body Wash or Flamingo Estate’s Peppermint Soap Brick. I love a good bar soap, and Flamingo Estate’s smells divine. I exfoliate once a week — I like something that’s not too abrasive, but still feels like I’m scrubbing. I’ve been using C & The Moon’s Body Scrub for a few years because it smells divine and leaves my skin hydrated. Post-shower, I apply both body oil and body cream. I find that applying them immediately helps to lock in moisture throughout the day. Right now, I mix Irene Forte’s Rose Body Oil with Sisley’s Body Emulsion. I have a lot of moisturizers scattered throughout the apartment, especially in the corners of my sofa where I like to camp out. On any given day, you can find Necessaire’s Body Lotion, The Ordinary’s Body Lotion, Hanni’s Lotion Stick, Augustinus Bader’s Body Cream, and Mutha’s Body Butter. In terms of my hands, I don’t go anywhere without hand cream. I’ve even been told by strangers that my hands are extremely soft — definitely a weird comment, but I’ll take it as a compliment. I like Tenoverten’s The Heroine, Augustinus Bader’s Hand Treatment and Glossier’s Hand Cream. I use Tenoverten’s Rose Oil Cuticle Treatment to moisturize my cuticles too. As for my feet, I like to keep them soft using Tenoverten’s Sole Mate Foot Balm and Sole Scrub. In terms of treatments, I get lymphatic drainage massages at Ricari Studios every other month. I’ve been going for a few years (I get the Signature 95 min treatment) and love how light and refreshed I feel afterwards. Every now and then, especially after strenuous workouts or work weeks, I go to Renew Day Spa II for “it hurts so good that I cry” massages.
