Hello all!

Summer is in full swing, which means it’s humid, muggy, and gross in NYC. I can barely step outside without sweating through my clothes… which is just great. Other than that, I’m doing well, and I hope you are, too! Since coming back from vacation to Greece and the Czech Republic, I’ve been spending time in the city. Surprisingly, I don’t have too many exciting things planned in August other than perhaps a weekend trip here/there. I definitely wish I was still on a European vacation…

Summer Wishlist

People always ask me what’s on my wishlist, or what I’m buying next. So, here are a few things that have been on my mind lately — I’ve been gravitating towards a lot of black and white, along with my usual mix of “classic with a twist” items.

Sleep Things

For most of the year, I sleep in matching PJs that are usually poplin or silk (my favourites are from Tekla and Sleepy Jones). However, once peak summer hits (i.e. now), I prefer sleeping in a slip/dress because it’s just too hot for anything else. Here are some of my favourites:

Latest Favourites

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my beauty favourites — below are products that I’ve been loving lately:

• Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser: I received this exfoliating cleanser in Net-a-porter’s Advent Calendar back in December and have been hooked ever since. I’ve re-purchased the full-sized version twice

• Hourglass Vanish Primer: This is the best primer I have ever used. My skin looks incredible after using this

• Tata Harper Body Oil: One of my styling clients recommended this to me, and I’ve been obsessed. I love a good body oil, and this doesn’t disappoint

• 111Skin Black Diamond Face Mask: This is a bit of a splurge, but it works, and self-care >

• Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick: I’ve been using lipstick lately (!) and have been reaching for this one

3 - TRAVEL

Antiparos

As mentioned earlier, I was in Greece last month and had a total blast. I spent most of my time on a small island called Antiparos for a wedding. Here are my recommendations from my week there:

Things to Do

• Beaches, of course: Antiparos has many beautiful beaches, including Fanari, Soros, Monastiria, Livadia and Glyfa

• Take a boat for the day: Going out on a boat for the day is a great way to explore nearby islands and beaches

• Dance the night away: The two clubs on Antiparos are The Mill and La Luna, both of which I believe open at 2 AM or later :)

• Just relax: Greek island life is slow and enjoyable. Days blend into each other, and there’s really no need to “do” anything

Where to Eat

• As there aren’t too many restaurants on Antiparos, we frequented the same ones: Elia Kafenes, Nautica, Lollo’s, Pantelis and Manos. Pipinos is also supposed to be great

• For snacks, we loved Vicky’s Ice Cream and Blender

Where to Stay

• If you have a big group of friends, renting a villa is a great option. The villas are largely not in town, so you may need to rent a car

• If you are traveling solo or in a couple, staying in town may be a good option. We stayed near the boardwalk/port, and it was quite lovely walking along the water in the mornings and at night

• For a splurge, I have heard great things about The Rooster

General Advice

• Antiparos is a small island with low-key vibes. There is one main street with shops and restaurants — everything else is quite residential. There are no huge crowds or tourists like other islands

• Antiparos is challenging to get to, but that’s part of the appeal! From Athens, I took a flight to Paros, followed by a ferry from Paros to Antiparos. You could take a helicopter from Athens too — I am tempted to try next time (the cost works out with a group of friends)

• If you want to explore the island, renting a car would be a good idea. Antiparos is walkable if you are staying in town; however if you are staying further away, the best way to get around is by car
